Jack's Oyster House celebrates centennial, Manory's upcoming

A 40-foot long banner was strung across State Street in Albany today to commemorate a milestone for a city landmark -- Jack's Oyster House, 42 State St., celebrated 100 years in business today.

The Rosenstein family has run the business for three generations, making it into a household name in the city.

"We are committed to maintaining the highest level of guest service and hospitality that our guests have enjoyed for 100 years," said owner Brad Rosenstein, in a statement.

The restaurant will be holding a series of events in the upcoming weeks to celebrate the achievement.

Manory's Restaurant in Troy will be celebrating their centennial this spring.
